Our commuter level conversion system will transform your ride!

The Bafang BBS02 system is the perfect fast commute or technical trail riding upgrade. Also ideal for bikes with internal hub gears or small or special wheels.  A mid mount motor drives through the bikes gears making the very most of the 500w motor giving very high climbing torque and fantastic top speed.

The motor can be de-tuned to 300w if you don't need or want as much power.

Cost includes installation. Further incidentals (cable extensions, new chain, bottom bracket adaptor, etc.) may be required depending on your bike. We will advise on the suitability of your bike before proceeding with a workshop booking.

What is needed for your bike to be a good candidate for a conversion?

• Disk brakes
  • Stopping power is a must! Disk brakes are more reliable and more powerful than rim brakes.
• Space in the frame for the battery
  • The battery cradle uses the bottle cage mount. Small frames, step-through frames, and full suspension bikes may limit which battery size will work with your frame. 
• A normal-ish bottom bracket
  
  • Due to the mid-drive motor replacing the original bottom bracket, we need to ensure it will fit in your bike straight away, or with an adaptor. This is not an issue for the vast majority of 'normal' bikes. If you have a more niche bike, like a fat bike, or folding bike, please contact us.
