WorkRide Benefit Scheme
Christchurch Electric Bicycles is excited to be a retailer to the WorkRide scheme. Through WorkRide, employees can achieve savings up 38% off the advertised price of an ebike, facilitated by tax benefits. Employees temporarily opt into a pre-tax salary sacrifice in exchange for a bike of their choice for their commute. After the lease, WorkRide gifts the employee the ebike.
The scheme is possible due to recent changes in tax law relating to fringe benefits, and has been approved by the Inland Revenue Department.
